cupermine and salifert test kits

have added cup ermine to my qt at the prescribed rate. my test results are lower than expected. I have added more but have still not reached the matching color on the test kit. How accurate are the salifert copper kits with cup ermine? Would hate to overdose.

My salifert was waaaay off. I use seachem copper test only now. I compared the 2 and if I stuck with saliferts I would have been overdosing copper.. I know lots of people use saliferts, but I like seachem for cupramine.

In general it is best to use the test kit that produces the additive.

An over dose is my fear that's why i'm asking. Cant seem to get colors close even though i added more than instructions at this point

I added more as well (took 6 days to get to the level). Leave it stands for 20 minutes before you check the color. Also I find it is easier to see the color with daylight.
