Cupramine and the bio-filter.

I recently set up my QT, and have a bag of ceramic bio-media in the tank. I read that you should keep the bio-media in your DT's sump when the QT tank is not in use. I have been treating the QT with Cupramine at 0.5 for 2 weeks. When I am ready to put my QT away, is it safe to put that bio-media back in my DT's sump after it has been in the Cupramine?

No dont do it,Throw away the media and get some more and stick the new media in your sump. You will never be able to get all the copper from that media and i would not chance it.If you dont wanna throw away the ceramic media you could always put a sponge in your sump and once you need to use the qt just put the media and the sponge in and the sponge will reseed the media.

That's what I was worried about. Though I have heard people say it is a myth that copper sticks to such things. Like using a tank that once had copper in it for inverts...that the copper from a previous set up will not effect the new inverts. To be on the safe side, I think I will refrain from placing it back in the sump.
