What is a good test kit when using Seachems' cupramine?

Also does anyone run a skimmer when using this product, I read through a few post and ran across one that quoted seachem as saying it is okay and actually reccomend the use of the skimmer.

Is this more about removing DOC's before they start breaking down, removing excess co2, or actually soemthing has an effect with the cupramine itself, or a multitude of these things? or something im missing all together.

I know Seachem, Red Sea and the newer Salifert test kits work with Cupramine ... many of the others don't. My first pick would be Seachem - then Salifert and lastly Red Sea.

You don't want to use a skimmer when running any medication - including copper.

I would recomend getting a seachem test kit..i know i started with api for copper and it didnt work at all.I have never used a skimmer with it as i only use copper in my qt tank and i dont run a skimmer with it so have no idea but i do know you should not run a skimmer with meds such as prazipro as it will remove it from the water.I would also mention that cupramine will not work with alot of amonia tests such as api.I would recomend getting a seachem test for this as well.I also have one fo the seachem ammonia alerts stuck to the inside of my qt tank.I know all this because i started out trying to test all this stuff with api test kits with very bad results .Hope this helps Kieth
