I don't have a clam yet, but I am doing a lot of research and I heard about pinched clam but have yet to hear of what causes it, or if there is a cure.

what are the treatments that you are talking about?

is there any kind of natural predator to perkinsus, bacteria or shrimp?

its caused by a Perkinsus and as of yet there is no cure but there are treatments

Where did you learn what species of protozoan was responsible for causing pinched mantle?

I know you had issues w/ PM previously, but I was able to cure one of my clams w/ a combination of hyposalinity, and metronidizole treatments. The other one died in the course of the treatment.

Barry N. has been having test run at the U. of Maine

Hopefully Barry will be able to give a presentation on the findings at MACNA or some other large event soon.
