cured live rock question?

how long after i put it in the tank will it take for stuff to start growing again and for things to come crawling back out? i will hopefully get some pics up soon of the tank and inhabitants!!!

It really depends on how wet or dry the LR is when it arrives. If it is somehow still wet, the cycling may be only a few days to a week.

I think your rock should already have enough life on it that you dont have to impatiently wait for life to come out. I say get better rock.

it is covered with coralline algae i was just wondering if there is like a down time then a small explosion of growth, also do the lights need to stay on all the time?

Wow - that was pretty uncalled for.

The first time I see signs of life is usually at night. Try looking with a red light a couple of hours after the tank is darkened. You should see stuff if you keep a sharp eye.
