Cured Live Rock

Ok, so I want to be 100 percent positive I'm making no mistakes, I believe the answer to this is yes, but I can't risk it being no.

So, set up a tank with cured live rock, added sand, gave it a couple days to settle. I'm good to add fish right? I'm going to be adding the fish (only one in the tank) in a couple days, but it being cured means its good to go, correct?

If you are 100% sure it was fully cured you can safely add a light bio-load. You could be certain if you added pure ammonia to the tank, if the rock is fully cured the ammonia should drop from 2ppm to zero within 24 hours. Use pure ammonia without surfactants (available at most hardware stores). To be sure the ammonia does not contain surfactants shake the bottle and if it bubbles up like dish soap it has surfactants in it, pure ammonia will not have bubbles. To raise 100 gallons of water from 0 to 2 ppm ammonia you would need to add 0.8 grams (8 ml) of standard 10% pure ammonia.

It was straight from the guys setup with coral and light on it still, fish swimming around and everything. I can try the ammonia tip, thanks.

If you kept it wet during transport and it has not been sitting for several weeks you should be fine.

Yup yup, I think it's all good, I just can't risk anything with this particular fish, and I don't have as much time as I would like to proceed slowly, so I'm freaking out, haha.

If it still has coral on the rock I would not use the ammonia.
