curing live rock

will curing live rock kill all the copods ? Or will they make it? going to cure about 125 pounds of prime fiji rock ? for my new tank .

By curing it you mean?

Alot of people cure it by putting it in a vat with a power head & heater, no light. This will kill all the algae, but will be great for your copepods & amphipods.

yea im sry , but i bought some copods and wanted to put them in the tank but i didnt know if the ammonia and nitrate would kill them

If you have things on the rock that are dying, such as sponges etc. and the ammonia is high, they will die. I had a tank crash and the ammonia was at 4 for a short while before I could get all the rock out, and I had pods survive it, but they weren't exposed to the ammonia for very long either. Things like bristle worms survived the high ammonia almost no problem......
