Curious about ORP metering..

Do any of you all have any experience with ORP monitoring?
I keep finding conflicting information about it's value in monitoring for aquarium parameters.
More specifically, what does it tell you?

Supposedly indicate how clean your water is. Some people use it to control ozone, to get the orp in a consistent range. I don't find orp useful but I still use ozone periodically.

+1 - too much effects the value to make it useful - just feeding the tank can cause swings
