Current Nova Extreme lighting question

i was wondering if anyone own one of these nova extreme T5 lighting unit and what everyone think of these lighting.

I have one its nice but I would replace the reflectors if you get one to the individual

it not a retro kit it a whole unit.

its a poor unit. it has a single reflector. if using T5HO use individual reflectors otherwise you will lose A LOT of light intensity.

Icecap is coming out with a hood that uses all indivdual reflectors. I would wait for that.

I took mine out of the origional enclosure and put it into my canopy so changing reflectors isnt a big deal

that what i was going to do was take it out to the casing and set it into my canopy. how much did you pay for the individual reflector and how much jfl.

I want to say the refelctors are around 25 each for the icecap that is

If your going to tear up the hood why not order a Furman Workhorse 7 ballast ($40) Bulbs ends ($3) Reflectors ($20) and the bulbs. Wiring this stuff up is pretty idiot proof.

Scotts right I would just order it separately the only reason I did it the way I did was that I got the fixture on trade not to mention the fixture uses a metal mounting bracket to hod all 4 bulbs so you cant separate them easily and the end caps arent waterproof. I did see a used icecap 660 at cf fo like $100 the other day just need the reflectors, end caps and bulbs

Only problem with a 660 is that it will overdrive the bulbs. It makes them a lot brighter, but the life is cut in half.
