current orbit light schedule...

i have a 4 x 96watt current orbit on my 90 gallon....my question is...what time do i set which lights?? during the day do i run both switches? (i know its rookie speak...but i mean both the white and the blue/purple bulbs) or do i just run the white ones during the day? it seems more intense with both on...any help would be great...thanks!

I'd have the fixure timed so that the bulbs with the "purple color" go on one hour before the "white" ones, and go off one hour after the "white"ones go off. Keep them all on during the day. But, that assumes that you have or will have coral of a kind that require lighing to be on all day. If you don't, then there's no reason to keep the "white" ones on for so many hours and you can have those on for about five or so hours a day.
