current orbit light schedule...

i have a 4 x 96watt current orbit on my 90 gallon....my question is...what time do i set which lights?? during the day do i run both switches? (i know its rookie speak...but i mean both the white and the blue/purple bulbs) or do i just run the white ones during the day? it seems more intense with both on...any help would be great...thanks!

The white lights are your daylights and the purple are your actinics. I have the same fixture but it's a 2x96watt. I run my daylights for 10 hours per day. I have the actinics come on 1 hour before the daylights which stay on all day and go out 1 hour after the daylights go out. Basically a 12 hour cycle in all.

9:00am Actinic On
10:00am Daylight On
8:00pm Daylights Off
9:00pm Actinics Off

Moonlights are on 24/7.

it must be ok to get off that schedule right? im never home during the day so having my lights come on at 1100 amm and going off at 1100pm makes it so i can still enjoy it when i get home. there isnt any direct sunlight on the tank, but really its only dark for like 6hrs max right now isthat ok?
