it does it when you try turning it on cold.
it new but i lost the recipt. so no warrenty. i switched the bulbs back and fourth no mater what blulb i put in the 2 slots ect. it does the same so i no its not the bulbs. is there a starter like other flouresents?

If it's using the electronic ballast that's listed as a replacement they're electronic and no external starter should be needed.

I'd check for saltcreep, sloppy connections or ground issues 1st or bad or damage to the fixture where it holds the pins of the bulb. Otherwise it might be on it's way to frying.

I have had it be a simple need to remove the bulbs and use emory cloth to clean the pins and the flickering stopped. But that was in my old VHO only days.

You have to check everything off the list of suspects just like anything else in this hobby.

ok i will check for bad connections. its is brand new i had it for a few months but never un boxed and tried it. and i lost the recipt.
thanks for the info guys

If you bought it using a credit card they might cover it under their protection plan or the can get you a copy of the reciept or statment. just a thought.

i had the same problem with mine. My sockets were actually too far apart for my bulbs. It wasnt until i opened up the fixture and moved the sockets along there track. All it takes is a screw driver to make some fine tune adjustments. Its easy but a little annoying that it wasnt done right in the first place.
