Current

It depends on what is in the tank. SPS, LPS, Softies etc....

With SPS I don't think you can have to much.

With LPS some will not expend all the way with too much current.
 
It depends on what fishes you have ... if you don't have corals that is. I have several lionfishes that really dislike lots of flow.

It all depends on what you have in your aquarium.
 
you auctually :) can have too much flow for sps,

it is very very very hard to though IMO [unless it is misdirected]


the WRONG type of flow [powerhead/ pointed like a knife] is very easy to do.


THE turn over rates only apply if
1- deadspaces are not present,
2- rocks arn't trappign too much of it
3- it is the right type of flow
4- your reef is in the same age [not old and hard to get flow to type] etc.

even then, don't listen to them :D
