Well the time has come to share what I have been working on and some progress. Been busy with work and school but still try to squeeze in some tank work. My wonderful girlfriend has been helping as well.
First things first. We started with a foundation from postal. 75Gallon tank and stand with the tek elite fixture.. was gonna go leds but for now will see if this ligjt will support everything
I needed a sump and couldnt find a used one that was gonna work. I picked up a 40 breeder at petsmart for 1.00 a gallon.. I never knew they had this deal until I went in there just looking.
I was going to run a baffleless sump. But with water level concerns and possibly wanting to implement a fuge one day. I had some acrylic baffles cut and I siliconed them in creating a sump that im pretty happy with.
I am happy with it. I also had critical tanking build me a 7" sock holder to help me in that department and they did a great job at a great price.
Ive picked up a ro/di unit. Some new bulbs for the lights. Heater. Pump. Salt.refracrometer
And other goodies. I have all of the plumbing its now time to get it together.
You can also see that I reenforced my stand. Had to make the sump fit. I am highly considering to sand down thw stand and paint it black. Also going to paint the back of the tank. I will be keeping this thread updated. Please voice thoughts, opinions, and concerns alog the way. This is my first full size build and I want it right. Thanks in advance!
