Negative, sorry.
Bummer, you how much we enjoy wave videos :(

As a public service Dustin, would you mind providing some feedback on the build, now that it is approaching two years old? For instance, how has the top section held up after several on / off cycles of lifting etc?
How have the corner joints held up (not opening up etc..)?
Are the hinges you used still performing as when new (holding open the top for light access etc..)?
Looking back at this time is there anything you would have done differently or would change today?
Thanks for any info you care to provide, your build has indeed inspired many others to attempt this form of stand. The thread still gets linked quite often when folks are looking for "fancy" stands.

Over the last couple of weeks I have been slowly finishing my latest DIY project, a custom glass sump to replace my old 29g aquarium that I converted to a sump. The new sump is a little larger at 36"x15"x16 and I now have a place for a refugium. I finished building the sump last weekend and got it installed after work this week, as you can see it's setup in a Drain/Return/Fuge configuration. Pictures below:

Red, I just skimmed through your thread. Amazing work on the stand and tank it all turned out great!

I may have to steal some design on the stand for a 210 gal project I am doing. It will be a skin only as the stand will be steel though.

Is the fugge overflow not causing micro bubbles? I'm running a mag-drive 12 with the same style sump (overflow comes in on left-baffel, baffel (i do have one less right here than you) return baffel then fuge) only thing i can think of is add one baffle on each side of the pump again....?

Awesome job man! I'm about to start my second tank, for my bedroom, and looking for a style similar to your and hopefully able to continue it into a corner desk.

Looking forward to some more pics!

Is the fugge overflow not causing micro bubbles?

No, no micro bubbles from the fuge. I have the fuge line dialed down with a valve off the return pump, so the flow through it and over the baffle is very slow. Also a good bit of coralline and other random algae has grown on the glass baffle, further slowing down the water as it cascades down the baffle and into the return area.

I did have micro bubble problems from my overflow pipe and skimmer though (EuroReef 135), so I completely filled the skimmer area of the sump (far left) with rubble rock. That helped keep the bubbles from racing through the baffles to the return area, which reduced my micro bubble problem greatly.

I can still see micro bubbles in my display, but I've learned to live with it.

This picture is after being set up for how long?

That was after about 2 years.

The sump is about 38 gallons (I built it from scratch so it's not a standard size). The only thing that looks different about it now is the refugium area (far right) has about 2" of sand and 3" of rubble rock, with a bunch of chaeto above it all in the water.

Hey red i just wanted to say awsome tank and setup looks great. i just finished building my new 90 gallon setup! i laughed to myself when i saw that you had bought your first sps corals from Your Reef. that is such an awsome store. i live about 15 minutes away from there and lived on the same street as the owner John Daken. His shop has some rediculous nice corals there.. im proud to say that that is my LFS. keep up the hard work and also where are you selling your frags maybe i could buy some to bring back to california where they started : )

bummer.. one question i have for you is where are you concealing your ballast?

They're both in the bottom far-left cabinet (the skinny one). They're attached to the back of the electrical panel, there's a pic of them installed earlier in this build thread if you want to dig through.

I love the fact that the whole thing looks like a piece of furniture. Looks great. I wish I could of done something like that with mine.

Hey red i forgot to tell you i borrowed your idea of extending the return line to go across to the other side of the tank and flow toward the overflow.. makes perfect sense: )
did it reduce your output noticably?
