you did a great job with your tank.it is very inspiring. i was wondering what program you used to make those designs?

I just read the whole thread and WOW what beautiful work!! When my husband returns tomorrow, I can't wait to show him the pictures. He was a cabinet/furniture maker and he'll love seeing your outstanding craftsmanship!!
Thanks so much for sharing this with us!!!

yeah, i have to say that it is the most jaw-dropping piece i have seen.....i've lost count how many ideas it has given me on the buidl i am starting. i have to say, mine will be nowhere near as nice as this one, but it has inspired me nonetheless to do more than a simple stand & then plop a plane-jane canopy on top

Well I just bought a new 10.1 megapixel Casio Exilim camera over the holidays but I can't get it to take good pictures of the tank. My old camera's flash went out, so for now an up-to-date full tank shot will have to wait. Let me play with the macro mode settings and see what I can come up with.

I bought these three ORA frags from my LFS here in Atlanta (Keen Reef) for $140 total. It was a buy 2, get 1 free deal that I couldn't pass up and trust me the pictures don't do the frags justice!

WOW... I just read (by read I mean looked at the pictures) this whole thread.. Actually I read most of the comments accompanying the pics so I had some idea what I was looking at.

Amazing build thread, The cabinet is beautiful, the rockscape looks great! And what a deal on the LR! Not to often you come ahead like that..

So many ideas for me to drive my girlfriend crazy with...

Thanks for the entertaining evening!

Very nice ORA frags. Be careful having them near the zoanthids and GSP's, they overtake SPS pretty easy.

I just have them sitting on the sand for the time being while they adjust to the new light. Eventually I'll be moving them up near the surface on the rocks.

I have a 90 gallon and I would like to add the cabinets to the side. Any suggestions?

Sure, read through my build thread. :)

Things are growing nicely. How is the flow in your tank with the 1 Vortech pump, and are you planning on adding another one in the future.

The flow is very good. I actually have the Vortech running at less than full power. I'd guess it's at about 80-85% of full speed.

When the pump is running full speed, the undertow is so strong that it piles my sand up in a little dune on the bottom of the tank, underneath the Vortech. It also causes all of my ricordea to shrink because of the high flow everywhere in the tank, there's not really any "safe spots" when the Vortech is running full speed.

So, to answer your question, one Vortech is plenty on my 90g :)

Take care-
Dustin
