custom canopy

For all of you out there that have built your own custom canopy's can you post some pics of it? I am looking a building one myself and need some ideas. As you may or may not know my tank is 8 feet long and only 18 inches wide so it poses some challenges when building a canopy for it.

The current canopy on my tank is all one piece and to short (only 6 inches tall) for halides. Plus you have to lift the entire lid to get into the top, don't want to do that anymore.

I am thinking of a canopy the has two or three doors on the front of it and one that is about 18 to 20 inches tall in front yet only 16 inches from the surface of the water so that I can put the ballasts on top hidden from view.

Any ideas are welcome.

Actually, im in the process of making the DIY for the canopy me and mike (NH20FOOL) (cant remember the exact spelling) did. We actually added onto a old canopy and made it taller and added routing. Give me a day and i will have the thread finally up, just got to mount everything.
