Well, after doing some research today here is my plan for dosing:
1.) Raise Magnesium to 1300 slowly testing 2 hours after each dose. 1200-1300 is the safe zone.
2.) Test Mangnesium every other week from that point on not allowing it to drop out of the safe zone ever.
3.) Raise Alk to about 9.3 slowly.
4) Raise Calcium levels to around 420ppm
5.) Monitor pH constantly.
Am I leaving anything out? My tank currently is LPS/SPS heavy and only getting heavier. Thanks in advance for your help!
Loved the T5's, but the Radion is way better. I love the ramping up in the morning to full sun in the noon hour to ramping down. Also, something you don't really think about, but in the mornings, I used actinic for my early lights, and i would use actinic for my evening lights. It makes more sense to have more of a 10k light in the early AM, and then get your actinic look more at night time. Helps with getting your corals a vast array of spectrum this way.
I think that the Radion is only going to get better with the new TIR lenses. Also, I just saw where the Vega actually took out some of their red, green, deep red LEds and replaced them with more blue LEDs. I think this is due to the fact that 2 of each of these per unit is plenty, and I can see the new Lenses maybe following suit for the Radion. When you have the red only on, it'a so bright, you'd think there were only red LEDs in your fixture. It's amazing how bright each channel is. When all lights are powered full blast it's super bright. When I went from MH to T5s that is the main thing I liked was how bright everything was. Putting on the Radion just stepped it up again!
In fewer words....I'm in love with it! Oh ya and it controls my MP10s
With all the new electronics, i decided to create a “control panel” to keep everything organized. Here is what i've got so far. Room still available for the controller that will be coming soon.
