I am currently looking to upgrade my skimmer. I am finding most of the skimmers I am looking at need a larger area then what my sump is configured for. I believe I will need to cut one of the dividers out. I was hoping i could drain the sump most of the way and then score each side of the divider with a razor knife to remove. I am trying to avoid totally draining and removing the sump. I am looking for opinions on if this will work or not.
