Cutting hole for 7" Filter sock

Does anyone know where I could locally get a 7" hole drilled in an acrylic cover so that I can place a 7" filter sock in the cut out hole?

I do not want to buy a $70 hole saw bit for one simple hole.

Do local glass shops have bits this big for such holes?

Do you have a router or jig saw? Or know someone who does? It doesn't have to be precise and either or those will work fine

trace a 7" circle and use a dremel to cut it out, use sand paper or smooth the edges or run a torch across it quickly so it doesnt snag the socks every time you change them.

BTW

A 7" hole in acrylic is not a simple hole. Likely you would have ended up with a broken wrist if you tried it with a hand drill that has no clutch.

Drill a hole and get dremel with the surface attachment $15 with 3 bits use. Then keep light pressure working your way around so you don't burn it . then use the sanding bit and lvl out the inside. I used the same process to make my black acrylic mount for my hydra 52 for the fan.
Worked better than jigsaw was too much
Hassle.

Make sure your battery is charged or spare I had to recharge right at the last inch and it's a new battery.

Check out a circle cutter. I used one to cut 2 holes in a couple cutting boards for my filter socks. Worked great!
