I'd like to mount my turbelle in the back corner of an acrylic corner (triangular cross-section) aquarium.
The top of the aquarium is largely covered, except for a rectangular opening along the front hypotenuse. This means there's no top opening along the sides or anywhere near the back corner -- unless I get out my drill, or cut the top. Drilling a small (~1") hole isn't a big deal, I've done so for return lines.
It seems that the turbelle is hard-wired to its transformer, so without cutting the cord, I won't be able to pass the cord through a small opening. Would cutting the cord be a big deal, assuming I just twist it back together neatly?
Otherwise, I've got to run the wiring close to the front of the tank (yuck), or cut a massive hole in the top...
