Actually it used to be called that because of all the chemical plants that the towns were built around. Thanks to modern times we are seeing more and more tech growth and it is said that the name "Chemical Valley" will be phased out in a few years.
Somehow I just don't like the name "Technical Valley Reef Club" LOL
Anyway, I like the old logo better too but it has WAAAYYY to many colors and presents a problem when it is converted to just one color for quick prints of signs etc. Maybe I can find a compromise, thanks for the comments and keep them coming guys
Hmmm sounds like a good gray scaled copy of the logo is what you need for the single color print outs. Where's a good large size version of the logo at?
hey Ron, the new logo you are doing would be really easy to have t-shirts made with it, actually I could do them for free except the price of the shirt, which is under $2.
Yeh that's one reason I need a one color simple flat image with no gradient, it's a lot cheaper to make shirts, and print signs with a logo like that. Maybe we could use both styles, one for web graphics and posters, and the other for other sources. Either way I'll post some more options in a day or so.
Nancy: I think T-shirts would be great, once we get a viable logo that we all like we will talk. Sounds like it might be a great way to pay for our next meeting place even.
Hey! lets just use a full-color shot of the Zen Reef for our logo! That would be really cheap!
Seriously, I like the idea of two logos. Works well for Coca-Cola/Coke. All we need is a common element in both to tie the two together-- like the font in the Coke logos. Whatever it is, for Ron's sake, allow him to keep it simple.
I will not be hurt if I do not, (sniff) win. I will just (sniff, sniff) be glad to be able (sniff, sniff, sniff) to contribute to the club( wah, wah, wah,..........)
