Cycle could this be possible?

So I'm getting ready to go away for 8 days and I just did my daily testing on my tank. Yesterday my ammonia read at .25 and really since the start of the cycle never really went above that and today I tested it and it was 0 so I was like what!?!?! So I tested the nitrites and they are now at .25. The tank has only been running for about a week but I did add live rock, live sand, and bio spira to kick off the cycle. So could this be possible could my tank really be cycling this quick? Oh and also with no algae blooms? ( knock on wood)

The algae blooms will come, just wait! The length of the cycle (if any) depends on the condition of the live rock. If it was close to fully cured, there would be little to no cycle. I would still give the tank some time (definitely wait for the nitrite to drop to zero) before adding a clean-up crew.

agreed that the algae blooms are likely to come much later. the ammonia presence and duration will greatly depend on the quality of rock you received. If you got clean rock and where able to get it in your tank quickly, there could have been very little issues with die-off, leading to a short ammonia cycle. However, don't be deceived into thinking this means you're ready to support a large bioload. Continue to go slowly, wait a few more weeks and continue testing the water parameters before adding anything.

Are you feeding the tank? if not, feed a very small amount every other day just as if you had a fish in the tank. this will ensure you have the bacteria needed to support a fish. just continue to test during the feeding process.
