Cycling 10G tank - starter bacteria colony?

Hi All!

I'm coming back to the hobby after a few years away and I'm setting up a 10G SW nano (all that will fit in my SF apartment).

I've got some dry rock and dry sand cycling at the moment with a fresh shrimp from the grocery store, but I'm hoping to seed the tank with some bacteria from an established, pest free tank.

Can anyone help me out with that?

Thanks!
Danny

Be patient.. let the tank cycle. Place the raw shrimp in the tank and test your water parameters every day to note the changes.i would Leave shrimp in for a few day 3-4 days max. It’s up to you if you’d like to cycle with lights on or off. I personally let it cycle with the lights off. Once you notice ammonia your cycle has started
