cycling display tank how keep the fish safe

I have a 300 gallons tank since 2007. Right now i want to reset the rock and clean up with muriatic acid, and begin again with new aquascaping.. and new sand and water .
But i have 6 big and medium size fish , that i going to leave in 2 QT 45 gallons each one..
The fish will be there for 2 months while the display tank do cycle..
How can I do for keep ammonia and nitrite low levels in the QT??
There is any media filter for ammonia and nitrite??

Thank you for your answer!!

Just take some LR from DT, and put it in the 45 gals. Good circulation pumps in each 45, and you should be good to go!

Or if you're wanting to acid wash all your rocks, pickup a couple of Aquaclear 70 HOB powerfilters. Either stick the sponge inserts down in your DT sump for one month before you break the tank down, or buy some Bio-spira to "seed" the sponges. The point is to transfer some bacteria to the sponges, so you have biological filtration in QT.

Amquel and prime works too since you don't have inverts and is not dosing with needs like copper.
