Cycling not complete!!!

Iam

New member
Hi everyone,

My cycling is not complete yet (I learned that with my past postings - thank you all)

brief history ofthe tank

60g
60-70lb live rock (not sure if LV cured or not)
it's been about 3 month..
RO water
2 damsels (1 clown)

after loosing all my fish now I am waiting for the cycle to complete..

I added
1 Protein skimmer
2 Powerheads (200gph - 211gph)
my readings are..

Amonia: 0.25
Nitrite : 0
Nitrate : 10-20 (mostly 15 but changes)
PH: 8.3

so my question is...

When you wait for cycle to be completed... what do you do? (besides getting bored)
Is there any way to make sure that cycling is on it's way to be completed...
is there any way that cycle can't be completed? or it's jut matter of time..
Suggestions?

Mostly, use this time to make up your mind what kind of tank you want (FOWLR, or fish with mixed, soft corals---zoos, mushrooms, leathers. Or lps---hammers, etc, favia and so on....which can be combined with sps, acros, montipora, etc and fish. You can do 1 of the 3 types, but you can't scramble them up. Do some reading about what you want, and figure out if it's going to fit safely in what you've got. Learn about tank chemistry, and how it works. Read Randy's articles. Study the hitchhikers page. That will save you enough to rate some first class equipment, over the life of your tank.
