Cycling question

Hey peeps! So i set up a 10 gallon cubey about 5 or 6 days ago. I used water, rock and sand from my 90 gallon tank and i am pretty sure i skipped the cycle. I have a gorgonian, Rhodactis shrooms, and some snails and hermits in there. There is PE on the gorgonian, everything looks healthy. I have also been adding bacteria in a bottle. Would it be safe to add fish? I tested for ammonia and it was zero. Nitrates were about 35.

Thanks!

I think You Would Be fine.
Only place missing bacteria would be your glass and possibly any filtration you put on the tank

If you are still worried about it I have a bottle of that new instant cycle stuff from FRITZ that I won in a raffle. I don't know if I will ever use it before it goes bad. You are welcome to try it.

Love that tank! Thinking about getting a nano for my home office.
Where did you get it from. Anything you like/dislike about it?

Im off to do some serious research. My wife will hate you when i tell her the news :)

As for your question, i personally wouldn't worry about it after you did that water change. Most likely you actually have TOO much bacteria and the spikes are from it dying off since there is no true bio load in the tank.

Thanks! I bought it at marine solutions. You can get it online for cheaper. The one thing i have noticed is it produces lots of micro bubbles. Pretty sure it could be fixed with a sponge in the return section. I added a goby pair and a couple shrimp. Everything is great. The tank is definitely cycled.
