Whats s the deal with this food??

How do you feed it??

When do you feed it??

How often do you feed it.??

I bought it for SPS corals and just looks like its making a mess of the tank!!

How much do you feed it???

Are pcs to big for SPS???

Cyclopeeze is mainly a fish food but I would think some LPS would be able to feed on it. Just break a peice off, smaller than your pinky finger nail and throw it into a high current area or power head intake screen. It thaws fast and flies around the tank. The fish go nuts over it.

If you want to feed your SPS get some Golden Pearls. Mix 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon (depending on tank size) in a small cup of tank water and dump it in. Best to feed this at night when all the polyps are out.

Sps can eat cyclopeeze but the chances of the polyps catching one are pretty slim. The best way I can think of to feed it to corals is by turning off flow near a coral then spot feed the cyclopeeze and let it settle on the coral.

Just use it as fish food and a few corals my get some during the process.

IMO feed the fish and the corals can feed on their waste. They do need to eat but targeting the corals themselves with feeding's may not be the best way to do it.

I got a big refillable glue squeeze bottle from the craft store and I thaw out chunks of Cyclop-eeze, mysis cubes and a little bit of Oyster Eggs in tank water and keep that in the fridge. One of those usually lasts about a week and it's ready to go whenever I need it. A couple of squirts and a sheet of nori in the clip for the tangs and it pretty much feeds everyone in the tank.

I don't know about the SPS grabbing Cyclop-eeze as it flys past, but probably an oyster egg or two. Like Mike says, feed the fish and the fish feed the SPS.

Problem I get with non-specific feeding like that is that my BTA's are constantly splitting from all the food available. I started with 1, and now I have about a dozen!

I've seen coral's capture cyclopeeze in mucous net's, but I cant say if they actually eat it or not. Look's too big to me. Oyster egg's may be better, but they are so small you can't see it, so how do we know the corals are actually eating the stuff.

I think it was Soronkin who did the study's and found the majority of food the small mouthed coral's were eating was micro POM.

my pocillopora and seriatopora seem very good at catching and injesting cyclopeeze. my acros rarely catch any, and only the biggest polyps seem to be able to swallow it, most just let go after a few minutes. who knows if the cost of firing those nematocysts is worth the payoff of just tasting one for a few minutes.

Cyclopeeze, Target feed with brine and mysis, blend all, with 1 1/2 cups tank water, store in fridg, turkey shooter, spot feed pumps off 15 minutes, protien skimmer of for 6 hrs. yes it works well. I don't care for the powder.

Also I like the frozen better then the freeze dried stuff. It sinks and doesn’t sit on the surface of the water. The freeze dried is also great for adding selcon or zoecon to when trying to fatten up your fish I use both but I primarily use the frozen stuff.

Absolutely, Frozen Cyclopeeze over the freeze dried. Freeze dried ends up floating right over the overflows before anything has a chance to grab it.

I do however like the "wafer" Cyclopeeze for my fish when I'm feeling lazy.
