cynarina not opening

i know many other corals go through periods of not opening. do cynarina corals do the same? mine hasn't opened up fully in prolly a week or so. we've had this coral for approx a yr and half and it has been thriving with out an issue. nothing has changed flow wise lately (within a few months), and i have not seen anything messing with it.

forgot to add that it has some white stringy stuff coming out of the mouth.

I have heard they are very sensitive to water quality. I'd check your water parameters.

did a water test, the dkh is pretty low (5). so i'm bout to go do a water change

Increase it slowly. Do not add it too fast or you can cause more damage.

Thanks for the tips. I did a 10g and brought it from 5 to 6. I'm plannin on waitin till sat evening or sunday to do another
