Just wanted to know how many people used this kind of salt and what did you find positive and negative about them. I undestand cost is one of them TM Pro Salt $104.57Cnd vs DD H2O $79.95Cnd; TM Pro 200 gallons vs DD H2O 150 "“ 180 gallons.

I was just reading your comments on other thread..... I did find the same film that when I was using IO.

As per the price yes that is MOPS price LOL... I was just there today!!!

ive used both, and like both alot, however the D&D imo is far superior

D&D is much better IMO too. I did have issues with my CR after I started using D&D. For some reason it maintains Alk and Calcium levels better than any other salt I have used.

yeah absolutely right mike the levels are boosted purposely for the reef aquarist, imo its the best salt for the reefer on the market, not sure if its the best cost wise, but with the raised levels less dosing is needed so in the long run i think its cost effective as well.

that's why I switched--so I could cut back on the two part I was dosing.
How much are you paying for it over there Michael?

its 50 uk pounds in sterling for a 22 kg bucket, not sure how many gallons that makes but it lasts me about 3 months

that's about 92 Cdn dollars. We are lucky in this area to have Mops( mail order parts and supplies) to get it for 79 dollars.

thats an excellent price scott, i think we do pay a little too much over here to be honest with most things, i think its worth it though, my tank seems to have improved drastically since i switched to D&D

If you can find Red Sea Coral Pro in your area its the same as DD's, but usually 10-15% cheaper.

So, this is a really old thread!!
I used to be in the business and sold aquarium dry goods, equipment, etc for a distributor but what is this Ocean Pro you speak of? Since I moved back to TO, I have been using reef crystals, which is a brand I used to sell.
How has the salt been treating you for the past 7 years or so?
