Daily Water Changes

After reading in last month tank of the month, I am thinking of doing daily or every other day water changes

my current water volume is ~265g
I change 15 gallons every week
thinking maybe 3 gallons water change every other day

can you please share any pros and cons you may think of!

In terms of daily water changes, I would just run the skimmer very wet and drain it off into a container. That's what a lot of people do (myself included)

That way you will get rid of the nastiest water anyway, and up the amount of waste that your skimmer is removing.

A con is that overall, the method is less efficient to do multiple smaller changes than one larger change. Every time you do a change, a portion of the water you remove will be the "clean" water you just put in yesterday (I understand it doesnt literally work like that, but in essence). However you seem to have made up for it by changing the volume (i.e. 3 gallons times seven days is 21 total gallons, more than your current 15.

I think the volume is too small for your tank. You are already doing very small percent water changes, 15g is only about 5% of your system.
