This morning I got up, my super tame clown wasn't in the tank. I check the floor, it was on the floor dry. :sad1::sad1::sad1:

That sucks...I had a pair of onyx a few years ago and the male popped out....ever since- EGGCRATE all day...I know the feeling.

about 6 months ago one of my s'mores jumped. now i have 1/2" bird netting covering the tank.

It was a regular captive raised false perc. I felt so bad. I'm going to Lowes tomorrow to get a piece of a glass cut for a lid.

Don't use glass. It traps heat and interferes with oxygen exchange. Make a nice top with a DIY screen kit from your home improvement store and 1/4" pond netting from Bulk Reef Supply. I'm not particularly handy and I was able to do it, so you can too.

It's not completely covered, there is a 1 inch gap in the back. I think this is ok?

It's ok if you want your jumping fish to end up behind the tank where you can't reach them. Making a nice net top is easy and cheap and anything is cheaper than losing fish who decide to carpet surf.
