Maybe the hobby is for me too. Seeing fish thrive under my care is a much bigger reward than just keeping fish alive (temporarily) so we can look at them. If that was my main objective, I'd keep goldfish, or maybe a turtle. Nah! They need care too; maybe stamp collecting?

The reason the OP is going with damsels and not treat for ich, is on a previous post he was tired of treated fish in QT and so on. So his decision is to get dmasel (less expensive fish) and if they dont survive than give up. His words. Not mine.

+1...

This to be honest is my least favorite thing with the "Reef Central Community" I came to you guys with a problem...

Problem being my tank is going to be up for about a year or so before college. I don't want to go to 2 more months with no fish. Its just unrealistic to me. To go fallow, then have fish spend 4-6 weeks in QT. I want to actually enjoy my tank for a few months before college starts.

But sadly ''Mr tuskfish'' and his friends are so sold on the one way fish must be kept. That it can only be done ONE way, and one way only. And to be honest I'm sick of it. Yes you told me what you would do, but if you just want to belittle me and make me feel like ****? Then your doing a great job.

So yes if my tank was going to be up for another 3-5 years, then I would do it your way "Mr Tuskfish" but sadly. Not everyone has that luxury.

So I'm going to go with Damsels, and if you guys have a problem with that. Get off this thread. You got your point across. Your not wanted or appreciated.
