Damsel looking for a new home

I've had this "black velvet damsel" since I started SW. He's very big (about 4") and relatively non agressive but he's the biggest in the tank so he has to demonstrate his dominance occassionally to keep the others "in line". I think he'd be better suited with a tank where he is not the biggest in the tank.

I dont know of anyone with a fish only tank but I remember one or two new people who have such a set up. I'll donate him to a good home.

Kind of sad to see you losing that guy. He's as big as my maroon clown. I'd hate to see the results of those two getting together in a tank, so I'll pass on taking him.

I still have my first fish ever in my freshwater tank (a 9+ year-old pleco). He destroys some of my plants now that he is large, but I can't bear the thought of parting with him.

Easy fix: just get some bigger fish -- 'tis 300 gallons after all! Just kidding. Good luck catching him out of there though. I have one of those guys too; they do become a bit dominant simply because of their size. The Mr. Yip in Morristown gave him to me years ago (he was tiny!), but he has been banished to the "sump" for the past 3 years along with a French grunt I brought back from the Keys...

I have a fly hook that can catch him if a coke bottle trap doesn't work. He's so full of himself, I think he'll be caught within 5 mins with a fish trap though.

I wonder if someone has put a secretive boycott on me. I cant give away a fish, sell MH ballasts for reasonable price, or sell my 55 at cut-rate price...

I'm thinking about a live goods order but I'll just wait till someone not under boycott starts one. (I'll be down to like 6 fish in a 300 after I remove the damsel)

hi! im new here, and somewhat new to the hobbie ( its been 6 or 7 years since i had a tank) my tank has been cycled for about a month now, fowlr, and i would be happy to give him a home. right now i have 3 yellowtail damsels, and a bicolor pigmy angel. the damsels are under 2", and the angel is about 4". i live in knoxville, so im not far away. i actually went to powell middle quite a few years ago. anyway my email is skwirlsbox@gmail.com, so let me know if you really wanna let him go

skwirl,

I caught him. He's yours. I'm floating him in my aips nudi tank at the moment. I'll release him after acclimation. He's ticked off big time!
