Dang fragging bug! New and need advice and input

So, while going slow with my biocube 29 (been a while since I was last in the hobby/ obsession) I've began to kick around the idea of fragging for fun and trade. I'm going to start with just a small frag rack on the tank with zoas and softies until I upgrade the lighting. I'm also kicking around the idea of a separate frag tank in the basement further down the road. My questions are:

1. Where would be the best place (other than this forum) to research corals and fragging IE: knowing the different common names of some of the "designer" zoas and corals, best parameters and conditions, and setups (books or articles).

2. When should I frag my zoa frag that I currently have? It's picked up 5-6 polyps in 3 weeks. I counted 39 when I got it.

3. How many zoas should I put on each frag?

Northern Indiana is not the most reef fanatic area and it's difficult to find an LFS that sells fantastic frags (at least not within 75 miles from where I am). Not saying it's going to happen, but I'm thinking of what I want to do when I get my 20 in at my current job and move on. This MIGHT be a supplement to income if things go well enough. Hey, if your good at something, never do it for free right?

Thanks in advance!

online forums and fellow reefers should give you a good understanding of what they need. for the names you can try to keep up with every little corner lfs or online shop who name things or just try to stay with the ones that have kept their names for quite some time , in any case its just reading and collecting , the names will come and youll know how to weed out the ones that are re-named every second day lol

thats up to your self , a frag can be cut at 2 polyps or 200 and anywhere in between. as for size of frags its kinda the same deal some for less money may be larger while some of the more expensive stuff can come as small as 1 polyp.

3. How many zoas should I put on each frag?

there is no limit or set rule , years ago it was believed that 1polyp frags were destined to die but its not true , we know now that a 1polyp frag grows just fine its about the fragging process and health of any system and coral to begin with.

good luck if any questions let me know and ill try to help , we have a few zoanthid dominated grow sytems for many years , so we have a good idea of what youll need to do.

cheers
