This makes it very hard to ever buy anything from this store again, and it sucks cause there was some nice coral frags in there too.

That great big fat nudi crawling around the tank..no idea what it is eating...but just being in there is enough for me not to buy coral there again..the frag rack was covered in zoos, a variety of LPS and SPS

Always dip, always remove from frag plug. Removing from the frag plug sucks with Zoa's, but it's a necessity.
I picked up some beautiful zoa's recently. I dipped and scrubbed hard, no pests but bubble algae was growing under the Zoa's. Completely fragged out the mini colony tonight and all is well.
Never trust a frag plug.

Yeah usually dip..but I have to go get some bayer...but I just don't want to risk it...
I don't have the time or space to setup a quarantine system...I typically try to buy of established systems known to be free from pests...but I do stop into BA occasionally to see if they have anything worth chancing

Every reef shop in the us has had those in their systems, that is probably one of the most common nudibranch hitchhikers. In fact almost every reputable reef shops in the bay area I know of has had every known pest imaginable at one time or another. I worked with many and at a couple for years, if that scares you....
There is no risk with Bayer. It's the most effective and somehow gentle dip on the corals.
I've had corals react poorly to almost every dip. NOTHING, has reacted poorly to Bayer. Not my fancy SPS sticks that RTN if you look at 'em funny, or any Zoa.
It sounds crazy -- But bayer is the MOST safe dip you can get.. You just need 2-3 containers of clean water to swish them around in after.
Bayer Dip --> Rinse 1 --> Rinse 2 --> Rinse 3 --> Rinse 4(?) --> QT/DT

Exactly why I would prefer to not start with a heavily (or potentially heavily) infested frag...
Get a trusted frag and dip is way better then a hoping the dip works a infested one.
I meant take the risk fragging it. There's no such thing as a 'trusted frag'. I've gotten stuff from trusted friends, trusted companies, all of them had non-visible algae bloom from them, and potential pests.
The plug is where the nearly invisible eggs and algae spores are.
"See that? I mean, I really wanted this piece over there... But not for that price. I'll take if you give me $20."

Now that is a decent idea...lol...I am setting up a very small quick QT right now as Friday I an picking up a piece of coal I have been waiting 12 years to find...sadly the guy has planaria..but for this coral I will make the effort to QT...
