I was in a better position to buy this fish..

A Petland Discounts has this fish for sale!!!!??? How much are they asking? Usually these stores prices for marine fish are crazy high. T

Price was not listed and I did not ask. But (6") Australian Tusks were $299 and (5") Annularius Angels were $299 also. So I imagine it was very high.

Man,i would sure try to find a way to get her.c.rainfordi,s,are rarely seen anymore.Aussie,most likely.Not a strict coral feeder,more of a algaevoire.Beautiful!

Yes, that is in their 220 display tank.

Depending how the next couple days work out, I might be back.

In the cases I have been to places like Petland the people haven't a clue what they have. I would never do this but point at the fish to employee who knows nothing and say I would like that yellow tang you have there!!! T

There is only one guy who works the SWF department, and he does know a fair bit. Unfortunately he is either too lazy or just doesn't care about the fish since it is not his money.

Another hurdle is the fact this butterfly is huge, probably 6".

AuroraDrvr,

You know, deep down, that this is like an angel nut walking in,and seeing a peppermint centroypge.at Petco!( Ya,im really streaching here).

And you are thinking to yourself, these people will most likely kill her,or sell her to someone, totally unprepared to keep her!

As one Bfly fan to another, think about this! They havent shown up in the last year,at least, that i know of.

To you butterfly nuts, whats the deal with the Chaetodon leucopleura on Diver's Den? I really like the looks of that fish, not going to buy it but I haven't seen one for sale as far as I can remember.

Not terribly hard to keep. Eats algae & other inverts (fanworms, turnicates, etc). Can be weened over to "normal" foods.

Doesn't tickle my fancy at all... Its just semi-rare since its from the eastern seaboard of africa.
