This tank was set up due to lack of space in some other tanks, so me and my roomate (also an avid reefer) decided to set this thing up. Alas, it's now proving insufficient spacewise as well...oh the problems...
Tanks 24x24x12
Teklight-4x24" T5-geismann's, 2 aquablue's, 1 pure actinic, 1 actinic +
Tunze 200 reefpak (surface skimmer w/tunze 9002. Skimmer got put on after running about 1 year skimmerless, put on just for the heck of it.)
Eheim 2213-used as a carbon reactor
3- K1's
tank has some live rock, majority of the space is taken up by a 6" tall eggcrate rack, below which grows a mass of chaeto (I have thusfar failed to convince the chaeto to stay below the eggcrate, leading to regular pruning.)
Sm Scopas tang, mandarin dragonet, and green coris wrasse. No direct feeding to fish, they just get leftovers and pick on the live stuff that grows in the chaeto masses.
Dosing is 2 part B-ionic, also iodide, magnesium, strontium, and occasionaly some MB7.
Water changes about twice a year, RODI mixed with coralife salt.
