DC 8 same as regular power strip ?

is the DC8 or DC4 power strips the same as regular power strips used for computers? do i need to add anything else from equipment to plug outlet ?

DC8 and DC4 are individual switchable power outlets via the AC (AquaController). I don't think a AC can turn a regular power strip on and off.

No, it's the other way around. You tell the controller what you pluged into what socket.
