dc4 or dc8

hey i was wondering if i should hook up a 1/4 hp chiller rated 5.4 A on a dc 8 or a dc4hd...any info would be appreciated

Assuming the 5.4 Amp rating is correct then either would work. On the DC4, the max load for any one outlet is 8 Amp. For the DC8 the max load is 6 Amp, and for the DC4HD then the max is 12 Amps.
