DC8 Problem

I came home today to find my main light off. I started investigating and I found that the light works. I then checked the AC jr. and it was fine as well. I plugged the light into a different position on the DC8 and it worked fine. Has anyone ever had just one outlet go bad? If so, what did you do about it?

Thanks
Ben

I've had an outlet fry to the "on" position but not the "off". Any chance the issue is with outlet 4 or 8??? Believe it or not the fix for the stuck in the on position is to smack the DC8 flat against something to break the fried relay. I'd try manual on and off a couple of times to see if something stuck somehow, other than that just check the usual suspects... is the time correct, etc. If you are really stuck, post in the Neptune Forum here on RC, tons of people on it and they are very helpfull, as a last resort you could just call Curt at Neptune.

what type of ballast on the stuck circuit?

I've experienced trouble with inrushing current caused by Icecap 660's. This has been noted by others and it's even mentioned in the Neptune instruction literature.

had the same problem , called neptune and they went over some tests with me over the phone. if the outlet is not working with the program (auto) try to manually turn it on or off ,if that does not work , its a problem with a circuit in the DC and you would have to send it to neptune for repair. mine was under warranty ,so i just paid the shipping to neptune.

We had this problem on almost all of our DC8s we used to use. Probably 75% of them, and we had a lot. To my knowledge, we never used icecap products. We had them both break in the on and off position and I never found a fix for it.
