DC8's with bad outlets...?

ok guys I was just wandering what do you all do with the DC8's with bad outlet. I know you can send thim in to Neptune and have them fixed. Is this something a lot of people are doing or are you just using the outlets that work and going on with life or replacing the DC8. Trying to find out if there would be a market for someone to repair outlets on here...

I had one with 3 bad outlets, and used it as an excuse to replace it with another EB8. I may open it up and see if I can repair it myself at some point.

It depends on the outlet; I've heard that when outlet 4/8 stick it may be possible to give the unit a good whack and unstick them. For the other outlets I've heard from 1 person a long time back that took the unit apart and replaced the triacs.

yup if a good smack doesnt work gata send it back to get it fixed. BUT if its out of warrenty then its $50 an outlet to fix it. So once you get 2 bad ones, its just easier to get a good used one.

I did fix fews of them ... just replace the Triac and opto coupler
