DD has a Conspicuos

Why do you guys get so worked up over this fish? I see these for sale regualarly at my LFS and for half the price. And this guy was fat and eating and the best part is, you actually get to see it with your own eyes.

Actually I think $1299 (as seen on the third pic of your post) is kind of expensive for a female C. Personifer and I would rather pay $400 for a smaller specimen that has potential of changing to male. But this is just my personal opinion. As for Meredithi you can always find a female from $130-200 depending on size.

Only if I got a setup to accommodate the Conspic...hopefully one day.

That is the same exaxct species as posted, That fish is sometimes called a true personifer sometimes, no clue why, but it is indeed the same species as the mentioned in the OP. Step up your angel knowledge lol:spin1:

LOL. must be embarassing.

I dont think it takes Chris to make it the authority. The fish are clearly different for even a novice angel keeper.

wanted to make sure it was healthy and eating. I bought a blue spotted angel from them two years ago - they'd held it a few months because it wasn't eating reliably, and that was a much less expensive fish. (it took me another couple months to get it good and fat - but I'm sure it wouldn't have made it without their TLC).
I have a male scribbled angel that took 2 months before it would really eat well the first month he would just pick on mussels and clams and spit it back out and now he eats everything I throw in there hopefully he will gain his weight all back. The conspic on DD is so tempting always wanted one, CCampbell has my other dream angel :)

I'd like to have a good number of Chris' fish! LOL>

Chris if you want i have heard of a conspic hybrid for sale in japan :spin3:

Thanks for the Heads-up Yuri. I actually had a chance to get a conspic x Personifer hybrid last year and was not really stoked on the fish. Plus it was $3500

So how many people are going to tell the guy he made a mistake? BTW, Chris, the specific epithet isn't capitalized in a binomial scientific name.

O.K., I'm just saying... (but I didn't see any periods).

Same w/ Moses above. You see this a lot in newspaper articles, not sure why. It's what I use to tell if a biologist or a journalist wrote the text.

What? I just posted a picture of both species side by side.
