DD has a Peacock!

I got him/her:D. My previous peacock died during a molt last week and I was totally bummed out. I thought it would be months and months before I even saw one for sale again. Even so, I checked DD at 12:30am my time, and WHAAAAA? NO WAY! Yep. Bizarre that no one had snapped it up right away.

1)I guess I would like to get educated myself and maybe help others on why this guy looks rough? I looked at the photo and thought it had nice colors. Are you talking about the lighter spots on it? I guess looking a little closer the rough edges on the shell maybe?

2) Male or Female? Dr Roy is good at this :)

1) rough because of nicks in the back of the shell, however I'm not sure if that's the typical way you get them and they only become pristine after the first molt.

2) I would say female, but that could also be juvenile male. I base my information on a post Roy did a few days past where he said an adult male has pink along the base of the uropods which this picture is definitely red.

My last Peacock was quoted as being from Indonesia. It looked like this one and turned out to be male. This one is from Bali.....which is still basically Indonesian, just geographically more specific. I will know for sure once I get a look at the "undercarriage." We'll see.

I will deffinitely post pics and vids.
