Dead clam?

For some reason my clam is not acting like it usually does. It is not opening all the way and when i put my hand down by it there is no quick "flinch" like it used to whenever something comes close. It was fine yesterday and fully opened but now today it seems like it may be dead. thoughts?

When they die, they deteriorate very fast, so you'd know for sure. Probably not doing too well though.
