Ok soo still kinda new to reefkeeping

4 week old cardiff 24
live sand
20 lbs live rock
1 star polyp
1 hammer tip anemone
1 red mushroom
10 blue leg hermits
2 false percula clownfish
all reef water bought from store

soo i let my tank cycle for exactly two weeks, had the owner of lfs check my water he said it was perfect and ready to go ( i bought the 10 hermits about 10 days in from the first day) sooo I bought two clowns and the 3 corals and brought everything home acclimated everything.. A week went by and everything was cool until one morning wake up and my smaller less dominant clown was dead. no signs of abuse from other clown.. Only thing i can think of is every night when i feed them (about 6 pellets of new life spectrum thera life + regular formula) the clown that was a little bigger would eat it all and the little clown just stayed down towards the bottom of the tank.. I thought nbd the little was just not aggressive and was bottom feeding the crumbs or something.. this went on until death..

Am i not feeding enough or what.. water levels are good

nitrate 0
nitrite 0
alkalinity 220 ppm
ph 8
ammonia 0.5 ( seems a little high)

just kidding about ammonia levels..

did research found out that was terrible

so i did 2 more tests to ensure accuracy and found my results were 0.25 for ammonia... Im sure this time
