Dead Coral???

I have a small Candy Cane coral. not sure of the scientific name but thats what the LFS called it anyways the first couple of nights it would open up and be pretty cool looking and all of a sudden my wife and i noticed that it doesnt open up anymore or not that we have noticed. i know it is nocturnal. but how can you tell if a coral dies? im not to worried it was very inexpensive but i would like to know if i need to remove it from the tank. Thanks

By "not opening up" do you mean it's not expanding it's tentacles anymore?

You will tell when a candycane dies. The tissue will receed back into the skeleton.

Snap a picture of it and post it here, we have to make sure you have a candycane first
