Dead feather duster

Well...just came home and found my feather duster with its crown hanging down. The only thing I can think of is that I lowered the flow on the sand bed due to the addition of a som new Yumas and a Scoly. I also cut down the intensity and the whites on my Kessil, to help acclimate the new corals.

Would that be the cause of them dying? I also fed some reef roids to the tank the other night....but I can't see that being the cause.

My water parameters are within normal ranges.

Here is a poor pic...sorry. If anyone can shed some light on the situation, it would be appreciated. Also....my other feather duster isn't looking soo good either. What gives??

Any input would be appreciated.

I did a lot or reading about them as well. While they do shed their crows if stressed or if there are water quality issues, when i pulled it from the tank....it STUNK BADLY.

Ironically enough... A few hours later, the entire worm from my other duster came completely out of its tube. No more than a minute later, my Nessarius snail emerged from the sand bed, and was going after it. Pretty good indicator it was dying/dead. When I pulled the second duster...it STUNK as well. Gonna run tests in a bit, but I assume all should be normal.
