i bought a damaged hammer coral from my lfs a few weeks ago. healthy and happy now, only problem is half of the skeleton is empty from the damage. i figured i would give it a little time to see it fully expanded, but it still only half full.

anyone have any good ideas on how to remove, and how much of, the dead skeleton. i dont own a dremel but i think that would be the best way to go.

anyone have any thoughts?

Leave it alone......Let it be....It should heal just fine....I should begin branching in another direction.....I would never risk chopping it....Even if its a solid head, it should close in optimume conditions and not need pruning.....A risk I wouldn't take. Not now anyway....Good luck...
