Dead Rock OK with Marscyn II??

I have some dead rock (formerly live rock) that I would like to put into my hospital tank. I want to make sure that it will not absorb or interfere with any of the medications.

I could use PVC pipe, but I thought these large pieces of rock would be more natural for the fish.
